I would love to update you on the freshness of this beautiful 2010! I am directing the healing and intention-setting efforts toward community programs and events with particular attention to youth empowerment programming through environmental and humanitarian causes that are of great concern to me. As an event manager, I see this is an opportunity to apply the individual healing methods that I have been practicing for years to serving a greater audience.
In September 2009, I organized Envirofest at Chollas Lake Park with the San Diego Girls Alliance (see, www.girlsalliance.org). We were supported by various San Diego-based nonprofit partners, college and high school students. I intend to continue these community efforts and work with other healers and organizations as we share resources and insights to assist all people — especially those in neighborhoods who typically do not receive these resources. Everyone deserves to have the benefits of the wonderful wellness and environmentally-friendly events and resources that are available in various parts of the San Diego County.
I am joining forces with 4 Walls International as an events manager, assisting in their efforts of the promotion and development of sustainable housing projects, empowering communities to educate themselves and learn how to be agents of change in through this housing crisis.
I am also focusing on international humanitarian efforts and African-focused organizations such as the Sun Strides Foundation whose mission is to provide sustainable energy to developing areas around the world that are in need. I am excited to be involved with and traveling to an “energy camp” with Sun Strides in Tanzania, Africa. While in Africa, our goal is to implement a sustainable, volunteer-driven healing project to serve youths and the community serving orphaned children.
